YayNay is a civic-engagement app. We publish plain-language summaries of federal and state legislation, let you vote on each bill, and show you which of your elected representatives your voting record actually aligns with. No opinions — just voting records.
SMS verification messages
YayNay Account Verification is a one-time passcode program used solely to confirm that you own the phone number you sign up with.
- What you receive: a single text message containing a 6-digit verification code, sent only when you request it by entering your phone number during sign-up or by tapping "Resend Verification Code."
- Message frequency: one message per verification request. This is not a recurring or subscription program, and we never send marketing or promotional text messages.
- Cost: we do not charge for these messages, but message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from YayNay. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the address below.
- Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Supported carriers: delivery is supported on major U.S. carriers; availability may vary.
By entering your phone number and continuing through sign-up, you consent to receive this verification text at the number you provided.
Phone numbers collected for verification are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. The number is used only to send your verification code and to identify your account, and is disclosed only to the messaging provider that delivers the text on our behalf.
